Bayer AG Trasylol (Aprotinin Injection)
Product Defect Information, including Trasylol Lawsuits
Bayer AG Trasylol (Aprotinin Injection) is a drug used during surgery to prevent blood loss. The FDA has linked Trasylol to a higher risk of major side effects, such as kidney problems, heart attacks and stroke, primarily in patients who have undergone bypass surgery.
The FDA limited Trasylol usage in 2006 due to a high risk of kidney damage. Studies of Trasylol have shown that the drug increases both in-hospital mortality and long-term mortality among patients that have undergone bypass surgery.
The FDA is conducting further research into the possible serious side effects of Bayer AG Trasylol (Aprotinin Injection).
If you or a loved one suffered serious illness or death after being administered Trasylol for surgery, you may have grounds for a Bayer AG lawsuit. Please contact a Trasylol lawyer at Cappolino Dodd Krebs LLP today for a free consultation.
